Angola’s Debt to China Declines as Trade Relations Strengthen

  • Angola’s debt to China dropped to USD 15.8 billion by June 2023, down from USD 17.9 billion in 2021
  • Trade between the two countries surged 4.6% in the first half of 2024, reaching USD 10.6 billion

Luanda, Angola – Angola’s debt to China has continued to decline, dropping from USD 17.9 billion in 2021 to USD 15.8 billion by June 2023, according to Zhang Bin, the Chinese ambassador to Angola.
