Gabon settled 17.9 billion CFA francs ($29.6 million) in arrears to the World Bank, the Ministry of Public Accounts and Debt said in a statement Tuesday. The payment follows the January 2025 suspension of disbursements by the lender due to missed obligations, which led Fitch Ratings to downgrade the country’s credit score.
