Abidjan, Ivory Coast – Senegal and Mauritania have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for the sustainable management of the Grand Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) gas project, located on their shared offshore borders. The agreement was finalised during Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s state visit to Mauritania on Monday.
