Abuja, Nigeria – Nigeria’s cocoa production is forecast to grow as much as 7% to 300,000 metric tons in the 2024-25 season, driven by a good main crop harvest and improved farming practices. Adeola Adegoke, president of the Cocoa Farmers Association of Nigeria (CFAN), highlighted the factors underpinning the increase in a phone interview from Akure, a cocoa-trading hub in the country’s southwest.
