Lagos, Nigeria – Nigeria has raised its crude oil output above 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd), exceeding the 1.5 million bpd quota set by OPEC, which the country struggled to achieve for much of the year. Mele Kyari, Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), announced the increase on Thursday during a meeting at NNPC Headquarters in Abuja, chaired by Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil).
