Dakar, Senegal – Senegal has resumed discussions on its $750 million water desalination contract with Saudi Arabia’s Acwa Power, a deal canceled in July over concerns of “high and unsustainable cost.” President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, during a recent visit to Saudi Arabia, confirmed that the project is back on the table, with Saudi authorities even proposing improved terms.
