Oman’s Revenues Rise as Oil Income Boosts Fiscal Performance

Oman’s public revenues rose to RO 8.1 billion ($21.06 billion) by the end of August 2024, reflecting a 2.2% increase from the RO 7.92 billion recorded in the same period last year, according to the Oman Ministry of Finance’s Fiscal Performance Bulletin. The rise was largely driven by higher net oil revenue, which totaled RO 4.64 billion, up from RO 4.14 billion during the same period in 2023. The average realized oil price per barrel was $83, with the nation producing an average of one million barrels a day.
