Abuja, Nigeria – Seven days after a gold mine collapsed in northern Nigeria, an unknown number of miners remain trapped underground. The collapse, which occurred on Monday following a downpour, has claimed at least one life, while six individuals have been rescued. Reports vary on the number of people involved, with estimates ranging from 30 to 50 individuals inside the mine at the time of the incident.
