- Inflation slowed for a 21st straight month
- Lower prices give Angola cautious policy room
LUANDA, ANGOLA – Angola’s inflation cooled again in March, extending one of Africa’s most striking disinflation runs and offering fresh evidence that the country is moving away from crisis-era price shocks.
Annual inflation slowed to 12.42% in March 2026, down from 13.35% in February and 23.85% a year earlier, according to data from Angola’s National Statistics Institute (INE). The reading marked the lowest level since July 2023 and the 21st consecutive month of decline.
