  • Uranium and gold exports drive strong trade balance

 

WINDHOEK, NAMIBIANamibia recorded a trade surplus of N$193 million ($11.7mn) in January 2026, marking a sharp turnaround from the deficit posted the previous month, according to official trade data.

The latest trade statistics bulletin released by the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) shows the country’s external trade position improved significantly from the N$391 million deficit recorded in December 2025.
