  • Industry strengthens South Africa’s global market influence

 

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICASouth Africa announced a record 22% surge in citrus exports on Tuesday, marking its strongest performance yet in global fresh-produce markets.

The country shipped 203.4mn (15kg) cartons of citrus in the 2025 season – the highest in its history and well above long-term growth projections.
