NAIROBI, KENYA – Kenya’s opposition Orange Democratic Movement has plunged into fresh turmoil after the dramatic removal of Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, deepening rifts over ties with President William Ruto.
Sifuna, who also serves as Nairobi Senator, was ejected from the influential post on Wednesday, February 11, following a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in the coastal city of Mombasa.
