  • Oil contracts despite GDP surge

 

LUANDA, ANGOLAAngola’s economy grew 5.70% in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking one of its strongest performances in years as non-oil sectors offset continued petroleum decline.

The rebound signals renewed momentum for sub-Saharan Africa’s second-largest oil producer, which has grappled with uneven growth and falling crude output despite exiting OPEC in late 2023.
