Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – Côte d’Ivoire is bracing for another difficult cocoa harvest due to “formidable hurdles” facing the sector, the agriculture ministry said on Thursday. The world’s top cocoa-producing nation saw a 30% drop in production last year, largely due to unfavourable weather conditions and the spread of plantation diseases.
