Nigeria Awards 10 Gas Distribution Licenses to Boost Electricity Access

Lagos, Nigeria – The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Authority (NMDPRA) has issued gas distribution licenses to ten operators following a competitive bidding process involving 30 investors. This marks the first licensing round since a landmark law allowed Nigeria’s 36 states to engage in power generation, distribution, and transmission, ending federal exclusivity.
