Angolan President to Host U.S. President Biden for Historic Visit

Lusaka, Zambia – Angolan President João Lourenço is set to host U.S. President Joe Biden in Luanda for an official visit from October 13 to 15, extending an invitation to the American leader. The confirmation was made by the Press Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic of Angola, who issued a statement following weeks of speculation in the national press. Neither the U.S. Embassy in Luanda nor agencies affiliated with the presidential palace had previously confirmed the visit.
