  • Non-oil GDP also rises 7%, with the industrial sector leading the expansion at 9.3%

Accra, Ghana – Ghana’s economy grew by 6.9% in the second quarter of 2024, a significant increase compared to the 2.5% growth recorded in the same period last year, Government Statistician Professor Samuel Kobina Annim announced Wednesday. Non-oil GDP also saw robust growth, rising by 7% in the second quarter compared to 3.1% in the same period in 2023.
