Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – The Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with China before the end of September for a proposed $1 billion overhaul of the rail line linking the two countries, officials said. The deal, expected to be finalised next month, follows resolutions from TAZARA’s board meeting in late July, according to a company statement.
