LUSAKA, ZAMBIA — Zambia’s mobile subscriptions rose sharply in 2025, underscoring the country’s accelerating digital transformation and positioning it as a key player in Africa’s expanding telecoms market.
Mobile cellular subscriptions increased by 13.1%, climbing from 23.2 million in 2024 to 26.2 million in 2025, according to the 2025 ICT and Postal Sector Market Performance Report released by the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA).
