ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – Ethiopia has accused Eritrea of occupying its territory and backing militant groups, warning that recent military moves risk pushing the Horn of Africa neighbours back towards conflict.
In a letter dated 7 February, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos urged Asmara to immediately withdraw its forces and halt cooperation with rebel groups, while signalling openness to negotiations on broader political and maritime issues.
