ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIAEthiopia and the United Kingdom have signed agreements to strengthen economic governance and unlock private investment in power transmission as Addis Ababa seeks to stabilise reforms and position itself as a regional electricity hub.

The package centres on a second phase of the Ethiopia Investment Advisory Facility, offering up to £17.5m ($22m) in UK-funded technical assistance over four years to improve public investment and asset management.
