PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICAIvanhoe Mines’ Platreef project is entering a decisive phase that could reposition South Africa in global platinum-group metals and battery minerals markets.

The company has confirmed that its Phase 1 concentrator has already produced and sold its first concentrate, while construction momentum is shifting decisively towards large-scale expansion anchored by Shaft #3.
