Gabon will host an IMF mission in mid-June to negotiate a new Extended Fund Facility (EFF), according to the Fund’s resident representative, Gomez Agou. The initiative, led by Vice President Alexandre Barro Chambrier, marks a strategic step for the transitional government nearly a year after the premature end of its previous three-year programme, initially approved in July 2021 for SDR 388.8 million (about $553 million).
