Senegalese voters head to the polls today, to elect 165 members of the National Assembly in a crucial parliamentary election that will determine the extent of President Bassirou Faye’s mandate. Faye, who emerged victorious in the March presidential election, seeks a majority to advance his reform agenda after dissolving the opposition-dominated parliament on September 12.
