President Tinubu Scraps Two Ministries, Sacks Five Ministers in Major Cabinet Reshuffle

  • Tinubu merges two ministries and names new ministers for Senate approval
  • Cabinet reshuffle comes amid rising public pressure over economic challenges

Lagos, Nigeria – Nigeria’s Federal Executive Council, presided over by President Bola Tinubu, has approved the dissolution of the Ministry of Niger Delta and the Ministry of Sports Development, in a significant cabinet shakeup. The Ministry of Tourism will also be merged with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy as part of the reorganisation.
