Nigeria Secures $1.57bn World Bank Loans for Social Services, Climate Change

 Lagos, Nigeria – The World Bank has approved three loans totalling $1.57 billion for Nigeria, aiming to address governance, healthcare, and climate change challenges, the global lender announced on Monday. The financing includes $500 million for the Health and Education Programme for Governance (HOPE-GOV), $570 million for the Primary Healthcare Provision Strengthening Program (HOPE-PHC), and $500 million for the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria Project (SPIN).
