Ghana Faces Unprecedented Crisis in Cocoa Industry

  • Cocoa production plunges to 22-year low

Accra, Ghana – Ghana, the world’s second-largest cocoa producer, is facing an unprecedented crisis in its cocoa industry. The 2023/24 harvest yielded only 422,500 to 425,000 metric tons, about half of the country’s initial forecast and the lowest output in 22 years.
