Abuja, Nigeria – Starlink, the satellite internet provider owned by Elon Musk, has rolled back recent price hikes in Nigeria following a directive from the country’s telecommunications regulator, which said the increases were unauthorized. Starlink, which launched its services in Nigeria in January 2023, had almost doubled the monthly subscription fee and raised equipment costs by 34%. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) indicated that these adjustments had not been approved, as required by existing regulations.
