Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – Côte d’Ivoire’s crude oil production surged by 83.6% in the first half of 2024, marking a significant milestone for the West African nation, according to government officials. President Alassane Ouattara’s 2021 forecast that the country would become a significant oil producer between 2023 and 2024 now appears to be materializing.
