Gabon to Launch Oil Exploitation in New Wells Following Assala Energy Acquisition

  • Gabon Oil Company expands operations with new onshore wells
  • Assala Energy nationalisation boosts state’s control in oil sector

Gabon is set to begin exploitation activities at two new oil wells, Ozigo II and Nziembou II, as part of efforts to expand the state’s share of national production. The operations will be conducted by the Gabon Oil Company (GOC), which became the country’s second-largest oil company following its acquisition of Assala Energy in June.
