Accra, Ghana – Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the ruling party’s presidential candidate, unveiled his 2024 manifesto on Sunday, setting out an ambitious vision to revitalise Ghana’s economy through bold initiatives in the mining sector. At the heart of his plan is the proposed creation of a Minerals Development Bank, aimed at financing local mineral projects and empowering small-scale miners, coupled with a sweeping overhaul of the small-scale mining licensing regime.
